Laurie Brown

Education: BS in Microbiology, M.Ed in Secondary Science Education

“I just recently retired from full time teaching after 30 years!  Even as a child, I was a teacher.  I played "School"  in which I'd line up my stuffed animals and teach.  I just can't imagine not teaching people, in one way or another.  It's not just a job or career.  It's an integral part of me! “

Education: Master of Educational Administration, Master of Curriculum and Institution, Bachelor of Arts in Education-Trainable in Mentally Handicapped and Regular Elementary Education

“I believe in providing positive experiences for my students and meeting them at their own level and interests to help them grow.  Tutoring students individually can help that invaluable rapport needed to bring out my students’ unique abilities and potential.

I look forward to sharing my experience with students and their families.”

“Each student is unique! I enjoy finding what hooks them into their studies and engaging their thought process to the next steps. I have always strived for building personal relationships with each of my students to gain their trust while also promoting their success as a student.”

Ilya Sobolevsky

Education: BS in Chemistry, Minor in Materials Science and Engineering

“I have always enjoyed tutoring/teaching, and always look forward to helping students achieve their best. In this line of work I have learned as much as I have taught. It is my goal to make a positive and lasting impression on every student so that they walk away with more confidence and enjoyment of the subjects we cover.”
